Getting the cleanest separation
- Start with the best source you have. Lossless files such as WAV and FLAC separate more cleanly than heavily compressed MP3s.
- A graphics card speeds things up. VocalCut uses your GPU when one is available, and falls back to the processor when it is not.
- Some songs separate better than others. Heavy effects on the vocals, such as long reverb, can leave traces in the instrumental.
Separating a song does not change who owns it. Karaoke and practice at home are fine, but publishing edited versions of someone else’s music needs permission from the rights holders.
