Where disk space usually goes
- Downloads. Installers, archives and videos collect in the Downloads folder and are rarely cleared.
- Duplicate photos and videos. Importing the same phone more than once is the most common cause of duplicates.
- Windows Update leftovers. Older update files are kept for a while after each update.
- Games and apps. Modern games are large, and their caches grow over time.

Is it safe to delete duplicate files?
Yes, when you keep one copy. Foxerly Disk Cleaner always keeps at least one copy of every file and shows you what will be removed before anything happens.
How are duplicates found?
By comparing the actual content of the files, so copies with different names are found too.
Will it delete system files?
No. Junk cleanup only covers files that are safe to remove, and system files are never deleted without you asking.
Should I defragment my SSD?
No. SSDs use TRIM instead. Foxerly Disk Cleaner detects the drive type and uses the right method for each drive.
Can I undo a cleanup?
Removed files go to the Recycle Bin first, so you can restore them until the bin is emptied.
